About the Role:
We’re seeking a compassionate, energetic, and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our pediatric therapy team! You’ll work with children from birth to 18 years in a variety of settings including homes, schools, clinics, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group speech-language therapy sessions
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain timely documentation (daily notes, progress reports, discharge summaries)
- Communicate regularly with families and provide home practice activities
- Monitor progress and adjust goals as needed
- Collaborate with SLAs, OTs, PTs, and other team members
- Attend team meetings and supervision sessions
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging therapy environment
Supporting Functions:
- Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with families and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Encourage patient and community involvement.
- Promote positivity among coworkers.
- Participate in professional training and extracurricular activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Achieve and maintain high productivity levels within the schedule and billable hours assigned.
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to reschedule missed sessions and promote productivity.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic.
- Adhere to dress code and other facility requirements.
- Report to work regularly and punctually.
- Collaborate effectively with all LPS staff members and families.
- Adhere to LPS policies, norms, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current SC PT license (or license eligible)
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus!
