Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor/Custodian to join our Facilities & Operations team. This person will be responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of all common area facilities in Chosan-managed properties, ensuring they remain spotless, safe, and inviting for our residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize shared common areas such as:
- Hallways, lobbies, and stairwells
- Shared kitchens, lounges, and living rooms
- Laundry rooms and shared restrooms
- Study/work areas and outdoor common spaces
- Perform regular floor care: vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning as needed
- Take out trash and recycling from designated bins; maintain cleanliness of disposal areas
- Restock shared supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.) as needed
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures) to the Operations Manager
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and support last-minute turnover needs
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
- Maintain supply inventory and request replenishments in a timely manner
- Support special cleaning tasks (e.g., deep cleans, move-in/move-out refreshes)
Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean environments
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for extended periods, and handling cleaning equipment
- Trustworthy, punctual, and respectful of residents’ privacy
- Basic English communication skills required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
