SUMMARY
Join our dedicated team as a Driver for Non-Emergency Medical Transport, where you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for patients requiring medical assistance outside of emergency situations. You will provide safe and secure transportation of clients to and from hospitals, nursing facilities, dialysis centers, rehabilitation centers, medical offices and their private residences in a professional manner. You will pick up and drop off clients promptly according to a schedule that fits the needs of the clients. Drivers assist the clients in boarding and exiting the vehicle and ensure their safety by fastening wheelchairs and other medical or mobility equipment in a secure fashion. In addition, drivers are responsible for maintaining clean vehicles according to company standards and keeping records and trip logs that outline driving activity and privacy of our clients. REQUIREMENTS
· Must be at least 25 years old
· Must hold a valid Florida Driver’s license
· Must have held a valid Driver’s license for three (3) consecutive years
· Must be eligible to work in the United States
· Must provide a Court Purpose Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) with no more than one (1) moving violation in the past five (5) years
· Must pass a mandatory criminal background check with no felony convictions
· Must a mandatory pre-employment drug screen
· Strong commitment to customer service; strong verbal and written communication; problem-solving skills

· Must be able to work non-traditional shifts and have flexible work schedules as needed
· Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with patience and professionalism.
· Experience working within hospital environments or critical care transport settings is a strong advantage.
· Knowledge of safety protocols related to patient handling and transportation is essential.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate efficiently with healthcare teams and patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Transport clients in wheelchairs or stretchers utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner
· Arrive and sign in on time; work shifts as scheduled; wear clean, neat uniform
· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle; set correct destination and route signs
· Operate various types of vehicles, as assigned, safely in all types of weather and traffic conditions
· Follow proper procedure when transporting passengers including but not limited to: safe transition of clients to wheelchair or stretcher, proper wheelchair and stretcher securement and providing passenger assistance at entries and exits
· Assist patients with boarding and disembarking vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
· Work closely with attendants during assigned shifts; maintain effective and professional communication with attendants regarding client transport
· Maintain clear and professional communication with healthcare providers, dispatch teams, drivers, and patients to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs.
· Adhere strictly to safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure a secure environment for all passengers.
· Safely pick up and drop off clients at scheduled locations
· Collect and submit proper cash fares and/or vouchers, following fare collection procedures
· Properly complete all required documentation for transports
· Adhere to all regulations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
· Follow procedures, rules and regulations of the Company
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 100lbs, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.
· Must be physically able to transport clients up ramps via wheelchairs and stretchers.
· Must be able to access floor of vehicle (via squat, bend, or kneel) to secure wheelchairs and stretchers as necessary.
· Drivers must be able to work in spaces with limited headroom up to 43 in.
· Requires tolerance of seated posture up to 40 min continuously, for a total of up to 8 hours per shift.
· Requires tolerance of standing posture up to 5 min continuously, for a total of up to 2 hours per shift.
· Driver must have adequate Near/Far/Depth/Color vision to operate vehicle.
· Driver must access pick up points for passengers. Requires walking up to 0.5 miles per shift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver must be able to tolerate working in an environment consisting of long periods of driving with periodic exposure to outside weather conditions and traffic congestion. In addition, drivers must be able to tolerate a working environment with inside ambient temperatures.
