Description
Our practice is seeking a part-time or full-time (3-4 days per week) RDH to join our Hygiene team! Our dental and orthodontics office has a robust hygiene patient base with 6-7 dedicated hygiene operatories daily.
Our Hygienists have a dedicated daily assistant to help with seating, x-rays, cleaning, stocking, and patient set-up, allowing us to maintain a gold standard of 1 patient per hour per hygienist for regular dental cleanings. Full SRP (4 or more teeth, 2 quad) appointments receive a full 2-hours of dedicated time to ensure the best care for our periodontal patients.
Health insurance is available to all part-time employees working 20+ hours on average per week. You'll also be eligible to earn a monthly and annual bonus. After 90-days you earn vacation accrual and be eligible to use up to 5 days of sick pay per calendar year- unused sick time is paid out directly to you at the end of the year. After one year of service and 1000 hours worked you'll be eligible to participate in our profit sharing 401k plan.

You will support the mission, vision, and values of the practice by working collaboratively with our team of hygienists as well as our restorative and orthodontic doctors to provide one-stop care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Complete thorough oral examinations.
- Educate patients on exam findings, disease progression and on how to maintain good oral hygiene.
- Provide prophylaxis cleaning and fluoride treatment with standard 1-hour cleanings and 2-hour full SRPs (local SRPs receive 1.5 hours of dedicated time)
- Perform Periodontal assessments, probes, charting, and soft tissue curettage.
- Diagnose & treat periodontal diseases: verify clear and accurate records, perform thorough SRPs, and treat patients for ongoing perio maintenance.
- Co-diagnose hygiene and restorative concerns in collaboration with the Doctor.
- Educate every patient using X-rays and intraoral photos. Capture quality records.
- Polish and contour restorations and polish appliances (partials, dentures, etc.).
- Maintain records of patient history, oral health, and treatment plans.
- Ensure patients are scheduled for at recommended frequencies.
- Clean, Sterilize and set-up the hygiene room, equipment and instruments.
- Follow all safety protocols and practice procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
