We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Adhere to dietary department guidelines when preparing meals for specific dietary needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in fine dining or catering settings.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Experience working in a dietary aide or similar role is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
