Service Consultant
Morong Falmouth, a long-standing southern Maine new car dealership that sells and services Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen, and Mazda automobiles, has expanded and is searching for an experienced service consultant to add to our team. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years of previous experience in this type of position, the ability to multi-task and perform to high expectations in a fast-paced environment, and the skills needed to ensure a quality service experience for every customer, every time.
As a service consultant, you are the primary face of the dealership. A high degree of attention to detail is required, as well as the ability to take technical terms and make them accessible to the average person. Your job is to provide exceptional customer service to every client.
Responsibilities:
As a service consultant you will:
- Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Prepare repair orders, obtain approval signatures and follow all policies and procedures as set forth by the manufacturer and dealership.
- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle walkaround and inspection
- Keep customer appraised of their vehicle’s status throughout the course of any repairs.
- Prepare invoices and inform customer when their vehicle’s service is complete; collect payment for invoices through electronic payment systems
- Follow up with customers after completion of service to ensure complete satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous Service Consultant experience required for this position.
- Knowledge of CDK and X-time is helpful but we will train the right candidate.
- A willingness to work hard in order to succeed is a necessity.
- The ability to communicate well with both customers and co-workers is an absolute necessity.
- A High School Diploma and valid driver’s license are required.
