We are currently seeking an entry-level Closing/Funding assistant to join our loan funding team. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in reverse mortgage operations, gaining hands-on experience with key tasks such as funding, purchase packages, and HUD binders. You will work alongside a team of professionals to ensure accuracy and efficiency in every loan transaction. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn the fundamentals of mortgage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing closing documents for accuracy and compliance
- Manage funding tasks and ensure timely execution of transactions
- Assemble and review purchase packages to meet investor purchase conditions
- Organize and prepare HUD binders for submission
- Support the team in managing follow-ups on outstanding conditions and document uploads
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Experience: Prior experience in mortgage operations is a plus, but not required—this is an entry-level role
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe PDF
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and efficient under pressure
- Eager to learn and grow within the reverse mortgage industry
- Must be able to work in-office, 5 days a week (this is not a remote position)
Compensation & Benefits:
- $21.50 an hour
