Digital Marketing Specialist (Hybrid)
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the execution of IDDBA’s marketing initiatives by managing social media platforms, generating long- and short-form copy, and supporting the creation and implementation of email marketing campaigns. This position ensures IDDBA’s digital and social media channels are telling a cohesive story that supports our organization, our members, and the dairy, deli, and bakery industries. This position reports to the Marketing Manager and is Exempt.
Position Responsibilities
· Write, proofread, and edit marketing content across all platforms, ensuring brand consistency.
· Manage the daily operations and posting schedules across IDDBA’s social media channels (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
· Identify and collaborate with members and potential members to increase engagement on social media (influencers, Instagram “take overs”, etc.).
· Monitor, track, and report on key social media metrics (engagement, reach, traffic) and email campaign performance to the Director of Marketing.
· Support content creation efforts for organizational emails, website copy, social media copy, and long- and short-form collateral.
· Coordinate the creation of basic digital assets (e.g., social graphics, simple video edits, email banners) using established brand templates.
· Review third-party created press releases, advertising, and marketing copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
· Create video and audio scripts to support organizational marketing activities.
· Support research efforts and collaborate with subject matter experts as needed.
· Support internal and third-party partners with public relations efforts including earned media placements, collaborations, and press releases.
· Support the ideation and implementation of marketing tactics that support IDDBA Show registration.
· Perform various administrative duties, including but not limited to: notetaking in staff/committee meetings, presentation slide preparation, answering and routing incoming phone calls, monitoring email inboxes.
· Represent association with optimism and professionalism.
· Perform other projects and duties as assigned to assist in meeting departmental and organizational goals and initiatives.
Qualifications/Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, English, communications, business or related field, or equivalent professional work experience.
· 1-3 years’ experience in marketing or social media roles with progressive responsibilities.
· Hands-on experience with social media scheduling/management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (Asana a plus).
· Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) for basic asset creation is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple social media accounts in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong visual communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, positively, and professionally—both verbally and in writing—with internal teams, members, and external stakeholders.
· Strategic thinker with a results-driven, data-informed mindset.
· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, agencies, and stakeholders.
· Ability to provide exceptional service and responsiveness to association members, exhibitors, and partners, reflecting professionalism and care.
· Ability to take ownership of assigned projects, anticipate needs, and ensure timely completion of deliverables with minimal supervision.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
· Frequent office work with regular exposure to computer screen.
· Ability to sit for long periods of time.
· Ability to travel up to 20 days per year to support organizational events and related commitments.
· Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
