Position: Residential Service Electrician
Reports To: Electrical Department Manager
Akian Plumbing, Heating & AC is looking for an experienced Residential Service Electrician to join our growing electrical team.

What You'll Do
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues
- Perform residential electrical service, repairs, installations, and upgrades
- Install and service electrical panels, subpanels, and circuit breakers
- Install and repair wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, fixtures, and other electrical components
- Install and service EV chargers, generators, and smart-home electrical systems as applicable
- Identify electrical safety concerns and recommend appropriate solutions
- Clearly explain findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners
- Complete work correctly the first time while meeting Massachusetts electrical code and Akian quality standards
- Maintain accurate job documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company-provided vehicle
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior technicians when needed
- Participate in ongoing technical, code, customer-service, and company training
- Work alongside our plumbing and HVAC teams when projects require multiple trades
What We're Looking For
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician License — required
- 2–5+ years of residential electrical experience preferred
- Strong residential troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of Massachusetts electrical code and residential wiring practices
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to confidently communicate electrical findings and options to homeowners
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage service calls
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to continue learning
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work from ladders ranging from approximately 4–32 feet
- Work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other confined areas
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying New England weather conditions

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
