Job Summary
Vidtek Associates, Inc. is looking for a talented and experienced hardware engineer to join our R&D team. You will be responsible for implementing a complete design cycle including CAD schematics design, firmware development, generating BOM and technical document and procedures.
Requirements
- BS/MS in EE or similar degree program with 5+ years of work experience
- Knowledge of electronic design principles
- Experience with OrCAD schematic capture and Cadence Allegro PCB layout
- Writing product and system technical documentation
- Experienced in developing firmware for microcontroller-based embedded devices
- Ability to execute a root cause analysis and debug electrical designs and firmware codes
- Proficient in C/C++
- Experience with Linux shell scripting and Python coding
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and oversee development of products concepts
- Firmware development for microcontroller-based embedded devices
- Design verification, failure analysis and debugging firmware
- Generate products BOM and build prototype units
- Writing technical datasheets, analysis reports and procedures
- Mass production and manufacturing planning by requesting quote form local and overseas CMs
- Working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful products and target users
