Title: GFR 163 Community Engagement Liaison
Department: Latino Education Institute

General Statement of Duties:
Under the leadership of the Executive Director, the Community Engagement Liaison will provide educational support and resources for families, support workshops and training sessions, help families access community resources, maintain accurate records, and stay informed about available community resources. Candidate must be a passionate, energetic, and empathetic individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who collaborates effectively, and demonstrate a commitment to program participants.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the LEI liaison to implement and support activities to ensure a strong connection between home and school.
2. Educate parents about the importance of early learning programs and leadership opportunities.
3. Organize parent meetings and workshops focused on health, social-emotional well-being and academic resources.
4. Meet weekly with the Program Staff and program team to coordinate staffing, enrollment changes, curriculum modifications and review weekly agendas.
5. Provide up-to-date monthly program highlights such as photos, success stories, etc. to Digital Artist for social media posting. Reference Social Media Protocols.
6. Participate in required trainings, workshops, conferences or other aspects of professional development including funder sponsored events.
7. Serve as a mandated reporter, reporting any suspicion of child abuse or neglect in collaboration with the Executive Director and any compliance procedures for follow-through. Reference LEI Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporting Protocols & Procedures.
8. Other duties as assigned, including occasional weekend or evening events, supporting other staff and representing the organization upon assignment.

Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally.
2. Strong work ethic and commitment to positive youth development.
3. Success in prioritizing and meeting multiple demands and deadlines.
4. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work collaboratively, manage own work and time, and be accountable for performance.
5. Alignment and agreement with the vision, mission, and values of the Latino Education Institute.
6. Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree and/or 2-3 years of experience working in Public Health or other health-related fields.
2. Reliable access to transportation.
3. Bilingual preferred.
