Artificial Intelligence Software Architect – AWS Consultant
Role Overview
The AI Software Architect – Consultant designs and leads application-layer architecture for enterprise AI deployments built on AWS. This role translates business and AI requirements into intelligent, cloud-native solutions running on Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate brings a balance of software engineering maturity, AI innovation, and consulting acumen to deliver secure, scalable, AWS-first applications for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop AI-enabled enterprise software solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and the AWS SDK.
- Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), chatbot, and analytics interfaces that connect seamlessly to Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker.
- Integrate AWS AI/ML services, including Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, and Comprehend, within client solutions.
- Define best practices for AI-driven microservice architectures using containerized services deployed to Amazon EKS, ECS, or Lambda.
- Lead code reviews, architectural assessments, and performance optimization of AI pipelines and application logic on AWS.
- Enable secure connectivity to enterprise data platforms, including RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, and S3, with authentication and compliance frameworks aligned to AWS IAM and security best practices.
- Partner with DevOps engineers to establish CI/CD workflows and monitoring systems using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CloudWatch for continuous AI application delivery.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, translating AI strategy and governance principles into technical roadmaps and actionable AWS implementation plans.
- Contribute to internal innovation projects and reusable frameworks combining AWS and AI integration patterns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience architecting and building scalable enterprise applications on AWS, including hands-on work with Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and the AWS SDK.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
- Practical experience integrating AI components (LLMs, vector databases, inference APIs) into enterprise application workflows on AWS.
- Experience configuring and deploying Kubernetes or container-based infrastructure on Amazon EKS or ECS for AI-enabled services.
- Proficiency in modern DevOps workflows: AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- AWS certifications (AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Development background in the .NET ecosystem (C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework) applied to AWS-hosted services.
- Integration of RAG pipelines, embedded vector search, or multimodal model features into business applications using Amazon Bedrock or OpenSearch.
- Experience with real-time data streaming (Amazon Kinesis, MSK) and API gateway implementations.
- Familiarity with cost-optimized AWS design and Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Prior consulting experience delivering enterprise-grade software solutions across industries.
