We are seeking a professional, dependable, and highly observant Security Rover Officer for a luxury high-end residential high-rise property in the Brickell / Downtown Miami area.
This position requires someone who understands that security in a luxury residential environment is more than just patrolling. The Rover Officer must provide a strong security presence, maintain excellent attention to detail, communicate professionally, and help protect the overall safety, image, and standards of the property.
The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in their uniform, respects the importance of post orders, and understands that every patrol, report, and interaction reflects the quality of the security team.
Responsibilities
The Security Rover Officer will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and supporting the daily security operations of the property.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Conducting patrols throughout the property, including common areas, residential floors, amenity spaces, parking garage levels, stairwells, elevators, loading dock, receiving areas, and exterior perimeter areas.
Maintaining a visible security presence to help deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, safety concerns, and property rule violations.
Monitoring access points and restricted areas to ensure only authorized residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and employees are entering approved areas.
Identifying and reporting property concerns, including maintenance issues, safety hazards, open doors, unsecured areas, leaks, damages, suspicious activity, or unusual conditions.
Responding to calls for service from supervisors, front desk, management, residents, or other departments as needed.
Completing accurate security documentation, including Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, patrol logs, violation reports, and any other required property reports.
Assisting with amenity and common-area monitoring to ensure residents and guests are following building policies and maintaining the expected standard of the property.
Maintaining radio communication and responding promptly and professionally when called.
Supporting the front desk, valet, receiving, maintenance, and management teams when security assistance is needed.
Following all post orders, site procedures, supervisor instructions, and property standards at all times.
Representing the security department professionally through appearance, communication, attitude, and conduct.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Valid Florida Class D Security License required.
Valid Florida Class G Security License preferred for armed assignments.
Prior security experience preferred, especially in luxury residential, condominium, HOA, hotel, or high-rise environments.
Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time.
Must be able to walk stairs and cover multiple areas of a high-rise property.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to write clear, accurate, and professional reports.
Must be punctual, reliable, and able to report to work on time.
Must maintain a clean, professional, and polished appearance.
Must be able to follow instructions and work within established property procedures.
Must be comfortable interacting with residents, guests, vendors, contractors, employees, and management.
Must remain calm, respectful, and professional during challenging situations.
Must have basic phone, radio, and computer/reporting skills.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts as needed.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following areas is preferred:
Luxury residential security
Condominium or HOA security
Hotel or hospitality security
High-rise building patrols
Access control
Incident report writing
Amenity monitoring
Customer service in a high-end environment
