- Collaborate with clinical staff to accurately code medical records using appropriate medical coding standards for billing and revenue cycle management purposes.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems efficiently, including data entry, retrieval, and secure storage of patient information.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of medical documentation, ensuring compliance with health regulation policies and medical terminology standards.
- Support the revenue cycle management process by ensuring proper documentation for billing and reimbursement activities.
- Respond promptly to internal requests for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality and security protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office administration or health information management within a healthcare or hospice setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, healthcare privacy laws, and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, medical coding practices, and records management procedures.
- Ability to navigate health information regulatory compliance requirements effectively.
