Overview
Applied Rigaku Technologies, a Division of Rigaku Americas Holding, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent / Buyer to support our Manufacturing team at our Cedar Park, Texas facility. This full-time position is responsible for sourcing materials, obtaining supplier quotations, issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, supporting cost control initiatives, and ensuring timely procurement of materials required for production. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organized, and capable of managing changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position based at our office located at 1405 Arrow Point Drive, Suite 1301, Cedar Park, TX.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of forecasted materials and components
- Monitor and support cost reduction initiatives
- Prepare and issue purchase orders by verifying specifications and pricing
- Obtain and evaluate multiple supplier quotations when required
- Identify and source new vendors as needed
- Track purchase orders and expedite deliveries when necessary
- Verify received materials against purchase orders and resolve shipment discrepancies
- Process receiving documentation to support payment authorization
- Maintain organized purchasing records, including quotes and purchase orders
- Analyze purchasing trends and provide planning information to management
- Coordinate vendor RMAs and ensure proper credit or RTV closure
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to address supply or quality concerns
- Perform additional duties and special projects assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing/buying experience involving:
- Machine parts
- Sheet metal components
- Electronic printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Electromechanical components
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with Infor SyteLine ERP system preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
