POSITION SUMMARY
Farmfit is committed to delivering high-quality products that support innovation and excellence. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team and help ensure products meet established quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation processes.
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing quality testing on complex mechanical and electrical assemblies, documenting results, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing environment. This position works closely with engineers and technicians to identify and resolve quality concerns while maintaining compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Perform quality inspections and testing on mechanical and electrical assemblies following established procedures.
- Accurately document inspection, testing, and quality results.
- Assist R&D Engineers with assembly of development products, prototypes, and fixtures.
- Provide feedback regarding the accuracy and clarity of assembly and testing documentation.
- Utilize small hand tools, microscopes, calibrated measuring instruments, and specialized assembly/testing fixtures.
- Follow all Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain organized and accurate records related to product quality and work-in-progress.
- Communicate product, process, or documentation concerns to supervisors and team members.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot production issues and recommend improvements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Comply with all applicable company policies, quality standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality-focused manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Experience performing detailed assembly work and using electronic assembly and testing equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows navigation.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to interpret and follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality excellence.
Preferred
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Experience working with small or delicate assemblies.
- Basic soldering skills.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes.
- Experience working within regulated manufacturing environments and quality systems.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment and requires the use of hand tools, testing equipment, microscopes, and other quality inspection instruments. The role involves standing, moving throughout the production area, and occasionally lifting materials up to 30 pounds.
