Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate FOH (Front of House) Manager & Wine Sommelier to lead our guest experience with enthusiasm, expertise, and a commitment to excellence. This dynamic role combines overseeing daily restaurant operations with curating an exceptional wine program, ensuring guests receive outstanding service and personalized wine recommendations. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage front-of-house operations, including guest relations, reservations, and service flow to ensure smooth daily restaurant functioning.
- Curate and manage the wine list, offering expert recommendations tailored to each guest’s preferences while promoting wine sales through upselling techniques.
- Train and motivate staff on service standards, wine knowledge, menu offerings, and food safety protocols to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
- Oversee menu planning in collaboration with culinary teams to enhance dining options and accommodate special requests or dietary needs.
- Handle cash handling, POS transactions (including Aloha POS and Micros POS systems), cashiering, and billing procedures accurately.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety standards across all FOH areas.
- Support catering and banquet events by coordinating service logistics, managing setup, serving meals or beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food service operations.
- Extensive knowledge of wines as a Sommelier or wine enthusiast with certification preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and sales tracking.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, catering services, and banquet operations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices including proper food handling, sanitation standards, and alcohol service regulations.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
