Provide comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health nursing care to patients experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and adjustment disorders.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Perform mental status examinations, obtain behavioral health histories, and accurately document all findings and interventions.
Administer medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and educate patients on medication adherence and side effects.
Support crisis intervention and stabilization efforts; recognize and respond appropriately to suicidal ideation, aggression, or acute distress.
Provide patient and family education to promote coping strategies, stress management, and recovery.
Maintain compliance with all Military Treatment Facility (MTF) policies, protocols, and standards of care.
Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, treatment team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Supervise and mentor assigned healthcare staff in delivering safe, patient-centered behavioral health care.
Contribute to initiatives that promote psychological resilience, preventive mental health, and overall force readiness.
