This role is based in the field, and locations may vary based on corporate needs.

Starting Pay: The pay for this position begins at $20 per hour and is based on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

understand equipment breakdown coverage within insurance and how we serve our customers
engage with different departments to understand our corporate structure and how we work together to accomplish business goals
have a strong aptitude in mathematical and written communication skills
interact with leadership and experienced associates in a team setting
contribute to projects that enhance the equipment breakdown coverage offerings and operations
observe and participate in on-site boiler and pressure vessel inspections
provide on-site assistance to field claims on root cause analysis of loss
participate in on-site risk evaluations/assessments to learn the production flow to identify risk improvement opportunities and services
learn underwriting techniques on equipment related insurance coverage
observe thermography scans of electrical and mechanical equipment
research, prepare and develop technical reports
use data to understand customer loss trends or exposures and identify service opportunities that will benefit stakeholders
deliver technological solutions to customers that help reduce loss
assist with business activities and processes
participate and contribute to team meetings, presentations and projects
research emerging trends, analyze data and evaluate options
generate reports, promotional and educational materials and other work products
serve internal and external customers
use Microsoft® Office tools and related software

Candidates should have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship. Our company is not currently hiring interns for this role if they will need sponsorship at any time in the future, including Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT).
Requirements:
enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at the junior, senior -or- master's level at an accredited college/university
all majors are welcome to apply (electrical/mechanical/technical engineering degrees or related backgrounds preferred)
collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable)
in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
Ability to travel to our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio, (first and last weeks of the internship) and have reliable transportation to get to and from field sites within your team’s territory (mileage reimbursement provided)
Preference will be given to applications submitted before November 1, 2026.
