Job Summary:
The Commercial Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of a commercial flea market. This position performs general maintenance, minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs while ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and operational for vendors and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs.
- Complete minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, repairing toilets, and replacing valves.
- Perform minor electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, light bulbs, switches, outlets, breakers, and troubleshooting basic electrical issues.
- Complete carpentry repairs, including repairing doors, gates, fencing, shelving, trim, benches, vendor stalls, and wood structures.
- Repair drywall, patch holes, paint walls, and perform touch-up painting as needed.
- Install and repair locks, hinges, door closers, and hardware.
- Perform preventive maintenance on buildings, vendor spaces, and common areas.
- Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, walkways, and outdoor facilities.
- Assist with setup and teardown for vendor relocations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management and vendors.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Maintain maintenance logs and report completed work to management.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or handyman experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and work overhead.
- Use hand and power tools safely.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
Work Environment
- Commercial flea market and retail property.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, noise, and maintenance equipment.
- Frequent interaction with vendors, customers, contractors, and management.
Preferred Skills
- General handyman experience.
- Painting and drywall repair.
- Welding or fence repair experience (a plus).
- Forklift or scissor lift certification (preferred but not required).
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
