Director of Ops Services (Corporate Support). Restaurant Industry experience is required.
Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and highly experienced Director of Ops Services to lead the corporate support division responsible for the architecture, standardization, and governance of operational processes across our multi-industry portfolio.
While this position serves as a central corporate support function—and will not be embedded within the day-to-day operations of our restaurant division—the ideal candidate must possess a strong background in the restaurant/hospitality sector, specifically in building scalable operational systems, manuals, and franchise-like procedural frameworks.
In this executive role, you will leverage that systems-building expertise to audit, design, and implement high-level operational structures, manuals, and continuous improvement strategies across all our business units, including Automotive, Construction/Maintenance, and Restaurant lines. You will bridge the gap between high-level corporate strategy and field execution by creating the blueprint for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Operations Governance: Design and oversee the master framework for all corporate standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, and policy deployment across diverse business units.
- Systems Architecture: Cross-apply scalable "restaurant-style" systems engineering (reproducibility, strict compliance, and high-efficiency workflows) to the operational challenges of the Automotive and Construction sectors.
- Cross-Functional Auditing & Consulting: Act as an internal consultant to business unit leaders (VP of Construction, Directors of Automotive, etc.), auditing current operational bottlenecks and engineering optimized corporate support solutions.
- Process Mapping Leadership: Oversee and guide the advanced visual mapping of complex corporate and field processes using enterprise diagramming tools (e.g., MS Visio, Lucidchart) ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Change Management & Deployment: Lead the strategic rollout of new operational frameworks, ensuring training materials, manuals, and corporate governance are seamlessly adopted by field teams.
- Knowledge Management Lifecycle: Establish and maintain the corporate knowledge repository, ensuring version control, regulatory compliance (OSHA, food safety, labor laws), and accessibility across all divisions.
Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Operations Management, Process Engineering, or Operational Excellence, with at least 3 years in a Director or multi-unit corporate support role.
- Industry Framework Expertise (Mandatory): Proven track record of building operational systems, manuals, and scalable processes within the Restaurant/Hospitality industry.
- Multi-Sector Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to translate operational systems into other heavy industries such as Construction, Maintenance, Logistics, or Automotive.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in business process mapping methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) and enterprise-level process documentation tools (MS Visio, specialized DMS).
- Executive Leadership: Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to influence executive leadership and effectively communicate complex operational strategies to diverse, cross-functional teams.
Position Context & Scope
This is a high-impact, Corporate-level support position based at our headquarters. You will not be managing day-to-day restaurant shifts or construction sites; instead, you will be the architect of the operational systems that empower those business units to scale efficiently and maintain absolute consistency.
