Salon Front Desk Receptionist — Part Time (Wednesday–Saturday)
Schedule:
- Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (24+ hours/week)
River North Salon is in need of a friendly and engaging front desk receptionist for a position in our luxury salon atmosphere located on W Erie St in River North. Our full-service salon places particular emphasis on enhancing existing beauty in our clientele and therefore specialize in natural looks and techniques such as hand painting balayage. While the space sets the tone for a high-end experience, our front desk receptionist is the first and last person our guests interact with, playing an essential role in delivering exceptional service from arrival to checkout.
The Role:
We're looking for a friendly and detail-oriented receptionist to be the face of our salon. You'll keep the day running smoothly for our team of 20 stylists and ensure every guest feels taken care of.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and manage check-in and checkout
- Book, confirm, and prebook appointments for all stylists
- Coordinate stylist schedules so varying appointment types flow smoothly throughout the day
- Answer phones and respond promptly to calls, texts, emails, and Instagram DMs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records and contact preferences
- Assist with social media management and client communications
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Genuine passion for customer service
- Previous customer service experience in a high-end or hospitality environment preferred
- Comfortable working at a steady pace and handling multiple guests at once
- Professional presentation: business casual attire with current styling appropriate for our clientele
