Master’s degree in information technology or a field related to position responsibilities. Progressively responsible experience with the management of information technology and services, particularly library services platform and discovery software. Knowledge of current developments in technology and best practices as they relate to library systems and collections.
Demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot technical problems, isolate causes, and implement solutions; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others to integrate technology into the provision of library services; a record of timely responsiveness and communication with collaborators and stakeholders; experience working with databases and a variety of software tools to extract and manipulate data from various sources. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; strong analytical, organizational and project management skills; ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently; flexibility in a changing environment; and successful completion of an interview.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in information technology with an ALA-accredited MLS degree; experience in an academic library (systems, technical services, database maintenance) using Alma/Primo, EBSCO Discovery Search, and interlibrary loan software; successful completion of Alma Certified Administrator training or a commitment to successful completion within six months; practical familiarity with library cataloging and metadata structures, and relevant tools for data manipulation; experience creating and maintaining library web content and applications.
