With strong clinical experience, supportive staff, and extension potential, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced PCU, Telemetry, Step Down, or Cardiac RNs looking for their next travel assignment.

- Unit: Units may include medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, or specialty med-surg populations
- Start Dates: 7/27 or 8/3
- Shift: Day or Nights
- Duration: 13 to 16 weeks
- Weekly Gross Pay: 3x12 - $2,500 or 4x12 - $3,300
- Not accepting locals.
Job Responsibilities
- · Placement is based on clinician skillset and hospital staffing needs
- · Travelers may be placed in any PCU, telemetry, or specialty med-surg unit
- · Level I trauma patient population
- · Medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, and telemetry patients
- · Typical Ratios - Days: 1:4–5, Nights: 1:5–6
- · Nurses must be comfortable caring for patients receiving drips (titration not required but willingness to learn expected)
- · Common drips include: Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Bivalirudin, Lasix, PCA
- · Heart Monitor Unit is available that also continuously monitors all patients on telemetry
- · Alaris IV Pumps integrated with Epic
- · Cardiac monitoring for tele/PCU patients
- · Support Staff – CNAs, Rapid Response Team, SWOOP paramedic team, Specialty Access, 24/7 phlebotomy coverage.
Requirements
- · AHA BLS, ACLS
- · Epic experience required
- · Ability to interpret telemetry.
- · Willing to float to units of equal or lower acuity
- · May float to a sister hospital if needed (not mid-shift)
- · Floating notifications typically occur around 5 AM or 5 PM
- · Nebraska license or compact license
- · 2+ years experience in a Level I or II trauma hospital
- · Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks (Fri/Sat nights or Sat/Sun days)
- · Scrub Requirement - Steel grey top with Nebraska Medicine logo
