This position is for a hands on Field Superintendent in W Bridgewater, MA for a ground up car wash project. We are self-performing the earthwork and stormwater. Car wash construction experience are highly preferred.
Superintendent
- Physically verify all subcontractors work against plans and field conditions. Physically verify means using a tape measure or rotatory level to determine if subcontractor has placed underground and above ground work in the correct location. This will include determining elevations of sewer, subgrade, cleanouts, manholes, piers, footings, slab, paving, etc.
- Schedule all subcontractors in the correct sequence to meet the original dates on the schedule.
- Schedule all suppliers and schedule deliveries of required items in the correct sequence to meet milestone dates.
- Review approved submittals.
- Know the plans and specs of each project.
- Verify elevations and layout of all work including but not limited to sub grade elevations, concrete forms, building corners, back of curb, paving layout, transformer pad layout, underground electrical and plumbing.
- Compete daily reports for each day worked including documenting weather days.
- Provide 3 week look ahead schedules for specific tasks to meet milestone dates.
- Complete pre-construction meetings with all subcontractors prior to commencing their portion of the scope.
- Complete hand off meetings between subcontractors.
- Submit any RFI’s for any deviations in the work.
- Communicate with City officials to complete required inspections.
- Ability to lift 50#’s
- Ability to use computer including Microsoft office programs, email, etc.
- Report to project each day work is taking place. Anytime a subcontractor is working on a project, the Superintendent must be on site.
- Keep job trailer clean and organized.
