Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care, working the overnight shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care environment, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your expertise will support residents with diverse needs, including memory care, behavioral health, and complex medical conditions. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning.
- Monitor vital signs, perform physical examinations, and evaluate patient responses to treatments.
- Manage complex medical needs such as IV infusions, wound suturing, catheter care, and ventilator management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of services like dialysis or hospice & palliative medicine.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct patient triage and urgent assessments to prioritize care needs effectively.
- Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer’s/dementia care, behavioral health challenges, and memory care programs.
- Implement aseptic techniques during procedures like phlebotomy or injections and ensure infection control standards are met.
- Assist with laboratory specimen collection/processing and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment decisions.
- Educate residents and their families on health coaching, medication administration, nutrition, and post-acute care plans.
Experience
- Proven experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities.
- Critical care experience in hospital settings including ICU or trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient records management.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for medical documentation and billing purposes.
- Hands-on experience with IV insertion, catheterization (including ostomy care), sterile processing, and aseptic techniques.
- Background working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is preferred.
- Experience managing acute pain cases, infectious disease protocols, or trauma medicine enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care.

Pay: $36.00 - $41.00 per hour
