EVB Service Center is seeking Part Time and Full Time experienced light duty tow truck operators who possess a desire to serve, are motivated to help others, and are driven to work safely to be a part of our Suburban Service Patrol.
IDEAL CANDIDATE for this position lives within 20 minutes of Plymouth Meeting, PA
EVB's Suburban Service Patrol Operators provide rapid response and quick clearance of disabled vehicles as well as the removal of road debris while patrolling the highways around Bucks County, Montgomery County, Delaware County and Chester County, PA. Under the PennDOT program, operators will assist motorists and keep highways safe by performing services including but not limited to:
*servicing disabled vehicles by providing fuel, oil and other vehicles fluids
*changing or inflating tires
*clearing stranded vehicles and debris from the driving lanes
*making basic, minor mechanical repairs
*securing the area around a disabled vehicle by using proper cone patterns
*transporting stranded motorists to a safe location
*providing cell phone assistance
*providing directions
*continuous patrolling of route while on duty when not assisting motorists
HIRING Experienced FT OPERATORS for the following shift times: Mon-Fri 5:30am-9:30am and 3:30pm-7:30pm OR Mon-Fri 5am-12:30pm OR Mon-Fri 12:30pm-8pm OR 2 week rotation schedule 11am-11pm OR 11pm-11am.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*2 years of tow truck driving experience, preferably using wheel lift trucks
*safe driving record with current PA driver's license
*high school diploma or GED
*able to life up to 60 pounds
*pass a criminal background check and MVR
*pass pre-employment and random drug tests
*possess knowledge of basic automotive mechanics
*CPR/First Aid certification preferred
*FEMA 100, FEMA 700, TIMS certification preferred
*WreckMaster 2/3 certification preferred
*must carry out duties in professional manner that reflects favorably upon EVB and PennDOT
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
