What We Build
Old Hickory builds portable buildings, known to most people simply as sheds. If you have swung a hammer, framed a wall, nailed a roof, or picked up a paint gun, you already understand this product. These are quality-built structures constructed to a high standard, and we need someone who can lead a crew to build them that way every single time.
What This Role Is
You will manage a fully operational OHS shop location in Billings. Your primary responsibility is building quality sheds that meet Old Hickory's standards. That comes first, always. But this role goes beyond the build bay. The shop lot you manage is a direct sales opportunity, and the managers who treat it that way are earning serious additional income on top of their build commissions.
This is a dual-income opportunity. You earn on every shed you build and on every shed you sell.
Important - Business Requirements
This is a contracted business opportunity, not a traditional employee position. Candidates must be able to hold and maintain their own business license and liability insurance to operate this shop. This is a non-negotiable requirement of the role.

This is a six-figure opportunity on both sides of the role. The build income alone rewards a high-producing shop manager generously. The sales side rewards someone who treats their lot like a showroom. The managers across our network who do both are among the highest earners in the portable building industry. Who We Are Looking For
The right person for this role has two sides to them, and both matter equally.
On the build side, you have hands-on experience in construction. Framing, roofing, painting, finish work, you know what quality looks like and you hold your crew to it. You can manage a production schedule, keep builds moving, and take pride in what leaves your shop.
On the sales side, you are outgoing, personable, and comfortable talking to people. When someone walks onto your lot, you greet them. You show them around. You ask the right questions and you know how to close. You don't need to be a salesperson, you just need to be someone people enjoy talking to and trust when you show them a product you built yourself.
