Experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Treatment Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between patients and our medical or dental practice, ensuring smooth communication, scheduling, and patient education. This role requires a professional with strong administrative skills, knowledge of health regulations, and experience in medical office operations. The Treatment Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing patient experience and supporting clinical staff by managing appointments, insurance processes, and patient records efficiently.
Duties
- Present comprehensive treatment plans with confidence and compassion
- Explain dental procedures in language patients understand
- Maximize insurance benefits while creating accurate treatment estimates
- Build treatment plans using PPO fee schedules and insurance participation guidelines
- Verify benefits and accurately estimate patient responsibility
- Present financial options and third-party financing solutions
- Coordinate treatment for General Dentistry, Implants, Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral Surgery, and Cosmetic Dentistry
- Schedule treatment to maximize provider productivity and daily production goals
- Coordinate specialist treatment and sequencing
- Follow up on unscheduled treatment with professionalism and persistence
- Help patients overcome barriers to receiving care
- Collect patient portions according to office financial policies
- Support daily production, collections, and scheduling goals
- Work closely with doctors to create an outstanding patient experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years as a Dental Treatment Coordinator
- Strong knowledge of PPO dental insurance
- Experience with fee schedules and insurance estimates
- Experience presenting comprehensive treatment plans
- Comfortable discussing patient finances and payment options
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, professional attitude
- High attention to detail
Highly Preferred
- Open Dental experience
- Dental Intelligence experience
- Experience coordinating specialty treatment
- Implant and full-mouth treatment presentation experience
- Understanding of provider productivity and production scheduling
- Spanish speaking (highly preferred)
