Job Title: Service Technician
Location: Service sites between Richmond, Virginia, and Newport News, Virginia
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy trouble-shooting low voltage security systems and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of cameras, access control, CCTV, video management software, intercoms, and alarms. This position offers an opportunity to establish best practices for service engagement in a technical environment and interact directly with end customers and factory representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance: Service and maintain CCTV, Access Control, Gates, Intrusion hardware, and cabling.
- Preventive Maintenance & Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as per client agreements and warranties.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair systems and equipment, identifying and resolving issues effectively.
- Communication: Update the team lead daily on the status of all work performed and notify them of any materials needed.
- Reporting: Report to the Service Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Security Integration or as a Technical Security Installation Technician on commercial or government projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Intrusion systems, gates, installation, and programming.
- Certifications: Required to adhere to OSHA Safety Standards and possess a valid driver's license. Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug screenings.
- Tools & Equipment: Ability to operate hand and power tools, unload ladders, and climb ladders.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift/move up to 60 pounds and have aptitude for daily travel.
Preferred Experience:
- System Familiarity: Experience with systems such as Galaxy, Avigilon, Milestone, or others.
Additional Information:
- Travel: Willingness to drive daily to service sites within the specified geographic area.
- Certification: Ability to become master certified in all product lines as appropriate.
