Overview
Trav-Ad Signs, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Graphics and Sign Production Specialist to join our team. This position provides the opportunity to prepare and produce high-quality commercial signage, from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of graphic design software and experience operating large-format printing, cutting, and finishing equipment.
Key responsibilities may include
- Pre-production and design file management: Review customer-submitted artwork to ensure it is print-ready, correct file issues, and create accurate proofs for customer approval.
- Equipment operation: Operate and maintain large-format printers, vinyl cutters (plotters), laminators, and other finishing equipment.
- Production and fabrication: Cut, weed, mount, and apply vinyl graphics to various substrates, including metal, acrylic, and wood.
- Quality control: Inspect all jobs for accuracy and quality throughout the production process, ensuring the final product meets or exceeds company standards.
- Installation assistance: Assist with the installation of signs and graphics as needed, both in-shop and at customer locations.
- Inventory management: Monitor material levels and report stock that needs to be reordered to the Production Manager.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on production equipment and workspaces to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with the sales, design, and installation teams to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sign production, large-format printing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with graphic design software.
- Experience with RIP software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately read and interpret work orders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional installation travel.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
