Overview
We are currently seeking experienced and dependable Class A CDL driver to join our team as independent contractor (1099). This position offers the opportunity to operate a dry van Ideal candidates will have a strong background in truck driving and delivery operations, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role involves route driving, load and unload duties, and ensuring timely deliveries across designated regions. Candidates must possess valid CDL licenses and relevant driving experience to succeed in this dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers across various routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
- Dry Van Trailer
- Occasionally driver assist loads.
- Deliver freight to multiple locations while maintaining accurate documentation of deliveries
- Manage route driving schedules to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain proper records of driving hours, mileage, and cargo details
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures during operations
Skills
- Valid Class A CDL license with proven 2 or more years commercial driving experience
- Delivery driver experience with load & unload responsibilities highly desirable
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps
- Strong knowledge of safety standards related to trucking and cargo handling
- Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts if required
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and route adherence
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and clients
