Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced clinical care, perform comprehensive patient assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans across diverse settings. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history.
- Administer injections, including GLP 1 and GLP2 ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions related to weight management, geriatrics, and behavioral health. .
- Educate patients on medication administration, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching strategies.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and medical records management.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans and discharge planning.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care remotely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas with current certification from an accredited program.
- Demonstrated experience in primary care or specialized fields such as emergency medicine, critical care (ICU/Level I & II trauma centers), hospital medicine, or post-acute care settings.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems .
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques (sonography), CPT coding & ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and drug enforcement regulations (DEA).
- Experience performing procedures like suturing, venipuncture (phlebotomy), sterile processing techniques, and sterile technique procedures.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving acute pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health issues, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Critical thinking skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics.
