We are seeking a full-time structural steel detailer. Hours are flexible with the posibility of working partially remotely. Experience is required.
Compensation:
- Competitive wage, negotiable based on experience, along with annual bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Auto SD to produce detailed and accurate drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication.
- Collaborate with fabrication shop personnel to answer questions and ensure clarity in drawings.
- Review and interpret specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform takeoffs for estimating.
- Detail all aspects of steel fabrication, including beams, columns, stairs, rails, ladders, etc.
- Review and revise drawings based on comments from Engineers and Architects.
- Maintain a high level of organization and commitment to producing precise and accurate drawings.
- Apply adequate knowledge of AWS welding symbols and applicable building codes for structural and miscellaneous steel.
Qualifications:
- Experience using Auto SD, SDS/2 detailing software helpful. CAD system training or experience required.
- Highly organized with a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent math skills.
- Ability to read and understand specifications.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Coordinate with 3rd party detailers as needed.
Skills:
- Proficient in CAD systems. Auto SD software, (SDS/2 detailing software in the future) would be helpful.
- Strong understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel detailing.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
