Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong background in restaurant management. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, staff training, and inventory control while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
- Supervise staff, providing leadership and support to maintain high performance levels.
- Train new employees on food preparation, customer service protocols, and safety standards.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records as required.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and service flow.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and performance management of staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate staff effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Passion for hospitality, food, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Experience in inventory control and cash handling procedures.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems a plus.
