Traveling Superintendent — Commercial Construction & Demolition Lutz CM · Based in Cincinnati, OH · Travel required across the Midwest
We're a Cincinnati commercial construction and demolition company looking for a Traveling Superintendent to run our out-of-town work. Most of these are quick-turn renovation projects for a handful of repeat clients across the Midwest, so you'll spend stretches on the road and own the site while you're there.
This isn't a desk job and it isn't a mega-project. It's fast, hands-on, and you're the one making sure the work gets done right, on time, and safe while you're away from the home office. If you do good work without somebody standing over your shoulder, you'll fit here.
What you'll do
- Run the day-to-day on site — schedule, subs, quality, and safety
- Keep the job moving and flag problems before they cost us money
- Coordinate daily with the PM and ownership and submit daily reports
- Read the drawings and make sure the field matches the plan
- Manage subcontractors and hold them to scope, schedule, and quality
- Enforce OSHA and our company safety standards; run regular safety talks
- Track milestones and documentation in Buildertrend; mark up drawings in Bluebeam
What we're looking for
- Solid commercial construction supervision experience
- Comfortable traveling and running a job solo away from home base
- Reads blueprints and runs a site without hand-holding
- OSHA 30
- Communicates clearly and documents decisions in writing
- Knows how to keep subs honest and a schedule tight
