Director of Education Role:
The Director of Education has the role of overseeing programs, students, academic progress, and curriculum. The DE does conferences and enrollments with families and oversees our teachers. Their activities are focused on students, programs, teaching, and conferences. Directors must have exceptional customer skills, a firm understanding of tech skills, work well with children, and have excellent attention to details.
Essential Functions for DE:
- Manages student programs, meets with parents and completes monthly conferences
- Meets and exceeds monthly sales targets and revenue goals. Oversees center operations, staff, marketing campaigns, and supports teachers.
- Selects, develops, motivates, and monitors teaching staff and administrative staff.
- Manages daily teaching schedule and appointments in an efficient and accurate way.
- Ensures the professional appearance of the Center according to Sylvan standards
- Ensures adherence to established Sylvan operating standards with particular attention to student safety and well-being
- Deliver extraordinary service to ensure parents and kids have an extraordinary Sylvan experience
Skills and abilities required:
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills; Outgoing people-oriented approach preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively; Strong team player
- Ability to multitasking while know how to prioritize
- Ability to influence and build relationships
- Organized and detail oriented
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
- Experience working with children preferred
- One to two years sales, marketing, or people interaction experience with a strong focus on customer service
We provide quarterly bonus to encourage excellent performance. Full time employees are provided with Medical, Vision and Dental insurance and paid time off. We do issue quarterly bonus and annually it can range from 2k to 10k.
