Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Barback and Food Runnerto join our vibrant hospitality team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth service operations, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and supporting our servers and bartenders. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent communication skills, and experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants, nightclubs, or catering events. Previous experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and customer service are paramount.
Duties
- Assist bartenders and servers by restocking bar supplies, glassware, and utensils
- Clear tables and bussing to maintain cleanliness throughout the venue
- Deliver food orders promptly from the kitchen to dining areas as a Food Runner
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic plating or garnishing
- Ensure all food handling procedures meet safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including bar stations and service stations
- Assist with food presentation and setup for events such as banquets or catering functions
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely service delivery
- Support the overall guest experience by providing friendly and attentive customer service
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Experience working in nightclubs, banquet settings, catering, or hotel food service is advantageous
- Familiarity with food handling, bussing, serving, and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is a plus
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately when needed
- Experience with cleaning protocols and maintaining hygiene standards in food service environments
