The Grand Resort and Spa is looking for a dependable, motivated Engineering Maintenance Technician I to become an integral member of our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with maintenance experience—or someone with strong mechanical aptitude and an outstanding work ethic who is eager to learn.

What You'll Do
Every day is different. You'll assist with maintaining and improving our 96-room resort and grounds, including:
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, drains, valves, etc.)
- Basic electrical work (light fixtures, switches, outlets, ballasts, bulbs, GFCI devices)
- Preventive maintenance on air conditioning units and exhaust systems
- Swimming pool and spa maintenance, cleaning, and water chemistry
- Interior and exterior painting
- Basic carpentry and construction projects
- Furniture assembly and repairs
- Drywall patching and minor finishing work
- Basic landscaping and property beautification
- Pressure washing and general property upkeep
- Responding to guest maintenance requests professionally and promptly
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What We're Looking For
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Dependable with excellent attendance
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision after receiving direction
- Self-starter who takes ownership of assigned projects from start to finish
- Good problem-solving abilities and common sense
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in South Florida weather
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and respectful attitude toward guests and coworkers
- Basic computer or smartphone skills for work orders are a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Previous hotel, apartment, facilities, construction, or maintenance experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
