General Job Description:
The Scale Operator in the Rough Rice Department is responsible for dispatching trucks to pick up rice at farm and deliver to mill, weighing all trucks, inputting information into computer, printing scale tickets and sanitation in and around scale house. Will also be required to weight byproducts and milled rice trucks in and out.
Requirements:
- Must understand and follow company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Personnel Practices.
- Must understand and explain the use and requirements of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist Rough Rice Manager with coordinating trucks delivering to mill
- Probe, bottom sample and grade trucks and insure quality.
- Weigh trucks and input information into computer to generate scale tickets.
- Abide by all safety regulations and standards established by Supreme Rice.
- Must report all food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Portion of this job may require you to lift material weighing 50 lb.
- Perform other duties directed by your Manager.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
