Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Machine Apprentice to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in machining and fabrication while working alongside skilled professionals. The Machine Apprentice will assist in various tasks related to the operation and maintenance of machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.
Duties
- Assist in the setup and operation of CNC milling machines, CNC lathes.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
- Support experienced machinists.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control checks.
- Gain familiarity with CAM programming processes.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
Experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge or prior experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and tooling concepts is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills to support precision measuring and calculations during machining processes.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
