Duties
- Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct service
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and manage cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining settings or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with OpenTable reservations management or similar booking platforms is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Background in serving or host/hostess roles demonstrates your ability to create welcoming guest interactions
