Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling sales transactions with precision and efficiency using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Manage cash handling duties including cash drawer balancing, cash register operations, and ensuring secure cash drawer handling at all times.
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through effective communication and merchandising techniques.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain a clean, inviting retail environment aligned with merchandising standards.
- Assist in inventory management by stocking products, conducting stock checks, and supporting store merchandising efforts to maximize product visibility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities.
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and basic math skills are essential.
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly while maintaining attention to detail in cash drawer handling.
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies will enhance your effectiveness on the sales floor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and work flexibly within retail hours.
