Position Summary
The BASIS Administrator provides administrative support for daily construction operations by coordinating onboarding, maintaining employee records, supporting payroll and workforce compliance, and serving as the primary point of contact for employees and project leadership. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrative contact for field employees and supervisors.
- Process new hire paperwork and assist with employee onboarding.
- Maintain employee files and ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
- Enter and update employee information in company databases and workforce management systems.
- Assist with timekeeping and payroll administration by reviewing timecards for accuracy.
- Track employee certifications, licenses, and required training.
- Coordinate badging, site access, and orientation scheduling.
- Assist with workforce reporting, headcount tracking, and labor metrics.
- Prepare employment verification letters and other personnel documents.
- Maintain confidential employee information.
- Order and maintain office supplies and administrative materials.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, and communication between field operations and corporate departments.
- Support Human Resources, Payroll, Safety, and Project Management teams as needed.
- Answer employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, onboarding, and company policies.
- Perform general office duties including filing, scanning, copying, and document management.
- Complete additional administrative projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in construction, staffing, payroll, or HR.
- Experience supporting large project teams is highly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with payroll or HRIS systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
