Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring each drink meets quality standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately to process retail sales transactions efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders promptly, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and dining spaces, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing cash transactions accurately and balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring proper food safety and handling procedures are followed.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking between serving customers and maintaining the workspace.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role with café experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service techniques, including drink preparation and serving standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving correct change.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards through proper cleaning and food handling practices.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
