BKG Co., Inc. is a family-oriented company located in Telford PA. We are seeking a dependable, motivated Pipefitter to join our growing commercial/industrial team.
The Pipefitter will install, fabricate, and maintain mechanical piping systems throughout commercial and industrial facilities. Pipefitter must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, prepare and fit materials, perform precision layouts while working closely with plumbers, HVAC technicians, and project supervisors.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and possess a valid driver’s license.
What will you do as our Pipefitter:
- Review and interpret blueprints, isometrics, legends, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes of various materials (Steel, Copper, PVC, PEX) to required angles and tolerances
- Assemble piping systems using welding, brazing, soldering, mechanical joints, and approved adhesives
- Perform air, hydrostatic, and leak testing, document results and corrective actions
- Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, corrosion, and damaged fittings in existing systems
- Coordinate with plumbers, HVAC technicians, project managers, and general contractors
- Maintain hand and power tools in a safe working condition
- Complete daily reports, material take-offs, timecards, and safety documents
- Participate in safety stand-downs and toolbox talks
- Assist in training apprentices and new hires
- Responsible to drive to and from job sites as required
What We’re Looking for in a Pipefitter:
- Minimum of 3 years’ commercial or industrial pipefitting experience.
- Proficient with hand tools, power threading machines, and oxy-fuel torches
- Experience with code-compliant installations (plumbing, hydronic, or steam systems)
- Ability to read and annotate blueprints, shop drawings, and equipment specifications
Pipefitter Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
