Job Title: Veterinary Radiation Oncology Technician

The Animal Cancer & Referral Center (ACRC) is preparing to launch Radiation Oncology at our brand-new, state-of-the-art specialty hospital located in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. We are seeking a Veterinary Technician who is ready to take their career to the next level while helping build our Radiation Oncology service from the ground up.
This new hospital will complete ACRC's vision of providing comprehensive cancer care under one roof. Working alongside our Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology teams, you'll help launch the final piece of the cancer journey while practicing in one of the most advanced veterinary oncology facilities in Texas.

What You'll Do
- Assist with radiation therapy procedures and patient treatments
- Perform anesthesia calculations, induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Prepare and position patients for CT imaging and radiation treatment planning
- Monitor patients throughout radiation procedures and recovery
- Obtain patient vitals and perform advanced patient assessments
- Place IV catheters and perform advanced venipuncture
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Administer medications and treatments accurately
- Educate and support clients throughout their pet's cancer journey
- Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and ICU teams
- Help establish workflows, protocols, and best practices for a growing service
- Advocate for patients while delivering exceptional specialty care

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Specialty, emergency, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, or advanced GP experience
- LVT/CVT/VTS preferred
- Advanced anesthesia experience strongly preferred
- Oncology experience is a plus but not required
- Candidates who are excited to learn Radiation Oncology are strongly encouraged to apply
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Four 10-hour shifts
- Infrequent weekends
