May Communications is a locally owned low-voltage integration company serving mid-Missouri. We specialize in residential and commercial technology installations, including security systems, surveillance cameras, networking, home theaters, whole-home audio, smart home automation, lighting control, access control, and conference room AV.
We’re looking for a dependable, motivated technician who enjoys working with their hands, learning new technology, and taking pride in delivering high-quality work. We value craftsmanship, professionalism, and treating our customers’ homes and businesses with respect.
Responsibilities
- Install and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling
- Mount TVs, speakers, cameras, access points, and other low-voltage equipment
- Install security systems, surveillance cameras, and smart home devices
- Install structured wiring and equipment racks
- Assist with home theater, audio, and commercial AV installations
- Test installed systems and troubleshoot issues when needed
- Maintain clean, organized job sites
- Provide professional customer service while on-site
- Follow company standards for quality and safety
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and attention to detail
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with low-voltage installation
- Security, surveillance, or alarm systems
- Home theater or audio/video installation
- Networking and Wi-Fi systems
- Structured cabling
- Construction, electrical, or trade experience

Pay
$20.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Work Location
Columbia, MO and surrounding areas.
