About the Role
As a Journeyman Electrician with Wire Wizard, you’ll be the face of our company in the field — diagnosing issues, making repairs, building beautiful new homes, and installing systems in homes and light commercial properties across Central Florida. You’ll handle a variety of jobs each day, explain options to customers in plain, honest language, and leave every site cleaner than you found it. You represent a name people already trust, and we’ll back you up so you can do your best work.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair wiring, circuits, outlets, switches, and lighting
- Install electrical systems in new homes from the ground up
- Perform electrical panel upgrades, breaker replacements, and service changes
- Install ceiling fans, light fixtures, GFCI/AFCI protection, and smoke detectors
- Install and maintain whole-home surge protection, generator hookups, and EV chargers
- Support remodel and addition work with rough-in and finish electrical
- Provide clear, upfront, flat-rate pricing and walk customers through their options
- Keep your truck stocked, organized, and ready for the day’s calls
- Complete accurate job notes, invoices, and paperwork on each visit
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman electrician license
- Hands-on electrical service experience and confidence working independently in the field
- Experiene with both new construction and service
- Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code, residential systems, and best practices
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Friendly, professional communication — you’re comfortable talking with customers
- Reliability, honesty, and pride in a job done right
- Ability to lift, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and work in attics and tight spaces as the job requires
Bonus Points For
- Master electrician license or progress toward one
- Experience with generators, EV chargers, or smart-home systems
- Low-voltage, solar, or lighting-design experience
