PUMA Lathe. UP TO $37.50/hr! The CNC Setup Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining PUMA CNC Lathes to support efficient production. This role involves troubleshooting, optimizing setups and programs, and continuously improving machine processes to ensure quality and productivity.
Responsibilities:
-Set up and operate Puma CNC machinery and make advanced adjustments to ensure precise production.
-Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs, tooling, fixturing, and setup procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
-Troubleshoot and resolve complex CNC machine issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
-Perform part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
-Train and assist CNC operators/tenders with setups, troubleshooting, and adherence to quality and production processes.
-Document production data, setups, inspections, and machine performance in ERP systems and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
-High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 3+ yrs CNC machining experience on PUMA Lathes.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part schematics.
-Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
-Capability to use all required hand tools, including drills, screwdrivers, and impact tools.
-Ability to perform basic arithmetic and complete production/quality paperwork accurately.
